About

I am a researcher, yoga teacher and wordsmith based in the north of England.

I’ve been teaching Hatha, Nidra, Yin and Chair yoga classes since 2016 in Northumberland and Leeds. My yoga teaching is accessible and fun and I belong to the Accessible Yoga Association and the British Wheel of Yoga.

My academic research is in inclusion, equality and health at Leeds Beckett University Centre for Health Promotion Research. My doctoral research explores access and inclusion in yoga for marginalised groups.

My background is as a writer and editor in health promotion communications, NHS digital service design and newspaper and magazine journalism, including The Guardian and Disability Now.

I am autistic, identify as Neurodivergent and bring this lived experience to everything I do.
