Spread the love

Hi, I’m Sally. I started teaching yoga in 2016 with the aim of benefiting as many different people as possible. My goal is to to help make yoga accessible and inclusive.

I teach gentle Hatha, chair yoga, Nidra and Yin and I work with older, neurodiverse and disabled people often in community settings. My classes are for ordinary people who (like me) who have a few aches and pains. You don’t have to be super young or bendy to do yoga with me. Everyone’s welcome, whatever age, sex or level of fitness. I also offer sessions for community groups, families and individuals.

I am an ambassador for the Accessible Yoga Association. My 200 hours Yoga Teacher Training was with Yogacampus. I’ve studied Yin yoga with Norman Blair, Yoga Nidra with Melanie Cooper and Jennie Wadsten, chair yoga with Richard Kravetz, yoga anatomy with Julie Gudmestad, Buddhism and yoga with Richard Freeman and Robert Thurman and therapeutic yoga with Gary Kraftsow. I am lucky enough to be currently doing a Phd ¬†looking at yoga diversity and accessibility for marginalised groups at Leeds Beckett University School of Health.

I live and work in Leeds and the north Northumberland coast. I hope you will join me sometime for that wonderful thing that is yoga!
